Dus waarom zat ik in hetzelfde groezelige kantoor met een goedkoop bureau en een goedkopere secretaresse, betaald om overspelige echtgenoten op te sporen? Ik had geen tijd meer voor introspectie. Ik pakte mijn hoed en pistool. Ik stopte een fles in de zak van mijn overjas. Ik was klaar om de beerput in te waden.

Elke zaak heeft aanwijzingen met symbolen die moeten worden gecombineerd om hun geheimen te ontsluiten. Spelers moeten verstandig hun Lead-kaarten spelen om de symbolen op de aanwijzingen te matchen om te onthullen wat de aanwijzing te bieden heeft: dit kan belangrijke informatie zijn, de toevoeging van nieuwe aanwijzingen om te ontdekken, of een doodlopende weg.
Spelers kunnen handige tips krijgen die hen helpen bij het onderzoek, maar pas op voor plotwendingen die je onderzoek bemoeilijken.
Wanneer het onderzoek van de zaak voorbij is, moet je vragen beantwoorden. Hoe meer je beantwoordt, hoe beter je detectives zijn.

Every case has clues with symbols that must be matched to unlock their secrets. Players must wisely play their Lead cards to match the symbols on the clues to reveal what the clue offers: which can be important information, the addition of new clues to uncover, or a plain dead end.
Players can get hot tips that will help them investigate – but watch out for plot twists that will complicate your investigation.
When the investigation of the case is over, you must answer questions – the more you answer, the better detectives you are.
