The Thing – Norwegian Outpost is een uitbreiding voor 4-8 spelers voor The Thing – The
Bordspel dat je meeneemt in de gebeurtenissen, verteld in de film uit 2011, die plaatsvonden op Thule Station, het Noorse station waar het allemaal begon.

Norwegian Outpost presenteert nieuwe mechanismen, waardoor spelers nog meer spanning en spanning krijgen
speelmogelijkheden. Net als in het basisspel ligt de sleutel in de emulatiemogelijkheden van The Thing, die zijn ware identiteit verbergt onder een dekmantel van nep-menselijkheid. Opnieuw zal de Alien proberen te ontsnappen, met de UFO of met de Dog Escape, en zich overal verspreiden!

De mechanismen zijn op veel niveaus verschillend en zullen de spelers tot verschillende keuzes leiden. Ten eerste kunnen de mensen deze keer individueel ontsnappen. Iedereen die weet te ontsnappen, wordt onmiddellijk tot winnaar uitgeroepen, terwijl de anderen normaal blijven spelen. Bovendien zijn de ontsnappingsvoertuigen vanaf het begin klaar voor gebruik, waardoor het risico dat de Alien ontsnapt reëel genoeg is om de mensen ervan te overtuigen vrijwillig hun eigen voertuigen te saboteren, wat het belang van de sabotageactie nog vergroot.

Dankzij het Dental Record, een hulpmiddel om te bepalen wie echt menselijk is, is het mogelijk
zal het mogelijk zijn om te onthullen wie een mens is. Hiervoor maak je gebruik van de
Zaklamp, een hulpmiddel met een nieuwe, belangrijke rol.

Deze uitbreiding is niet compatibel met de basisversie voor 1 tot 3 spelers
spel.

The Thing – Norwegian Outpost is a 4-8 player expansion for The Thing – The
Boardgame that throws you into the events, narrated in the 2011 movie, that happened at Thule Station, the Norwegian station where it all began.

Norwegian Outpost presents new mechanics, giving players even more tension and
gameplay opportunities. As in the base game, the key lies in the emulation abilities of The Thing, hiding its true identity under a cover of fake humanity. Once again, the Alien will try to escape, with the UFO or with the Dog Escape, and spread everywhere!

The mechanics are different on many levels and will lead the players to different choices. First, this time the Humans can escape individually. Anyone who manages to escape will immediately be declared a winner, while the others will continue to play as normal. Furthermore, the escape vehicles are ready to use from the beginning, making the risk of the Alien escaping real enough to convince the humans to voluntarily sabotage their own vehicles, adding to the importance of the Sabotage action.

Thanks to the Dental Record, a tool to determine who is really human, it
will be possible to reveal who is a Human. For this purpose, you will use the
Flashlight, a tool with a new, important role.

This expansion is not compatible with the 1 to 3 Player version of the base
game.
